8.  Heated Flooring

And finally, a trend that comes from Japan is the heated floor.  This comes from the idea of the wet room, which is a fully waterproof room without shower doors.. The floor is sloped and heated to encourage quick evaporation and drainage.  However, modern home builders around the world are beginning to include heated floors in bathrooms as a luxury option.  No more cold feet in the bathroom!
