Dimensioned Stone - How to use Dimensioned Stone in Remodeling Projects

Dimensioned stone tiles are made from marble, slate, granite, and other natural materials and look great in remodeling projects. Marble is limestone that has been changed through the actions of heat, pressure, and time deep beneath the earth's surface. The result is a heart composition of crystals that develop a characteristic veining. Colors range from almost pure white to nearly black. Colored marble occurs due to the presence of minerals and other material within the rock.

Generally, the more heavily veined the marble, the weaker it will be. Where will be most noticeable in darker colors such as black. Highly colored marble such as green or brown, a fading sunlight. The darker the mortal, the more noticeable this fading will be.
