Bathroom Storage:
In bathrooms, as in kitchens and homes in Chattanooga as a whole, it's nearly impossible to include too much storage space. Easy access to grooming supplies and toiletry items is most critical near the sink, tub, shower and toilet. We are experts at shower remodeling and can assist with any bathroom or kitchen job you may have in mind. The sink includes two primary storage facilities: the vanity and the medicine cabinet. When selecting a vanity, consider how you will use it. Will it store cleaning supplies for the shower and toilet? Hair dryers? Towels or underwear? Your answer to these questions will determine the most efficient combination of cabinet space and drawers. Some stock vanities resemble chests of drawers; others are simple base cabinets; most combine drawer and cabinet space. By elevating the height of the countertop, you can gain additional storage space below.
If you are keeping an existing bath vanity, you probably can improve storage capacity by making a few simple modifications. Mount wire racks inside cabinet doors to hold cleaning supplies, a hair dryer, or a curling iron. Take a cue from kitchen cabinetry and include pull-out elements such as a wastebasket, shelves, and towel rods. If your budget allows, create a built-in nook and a seating area in the shower. Larger, three-door units provide even more space as well.

More elements of good design - Bathroom and shower spacing and ideas
Look for tub and shower surrounds that have ample built-in niches for storage for shampoos, conditioners, soaps and bath oils. For more space, buy a rustproof plastic shower caddie. Some versions hang from the shower head while others attach using suction cups. This is something to consider during a remodel. Use wall space at the ends of the bathtub to mount towel bars. To keep bath sales and lotions handy, place shallow display shelves above the towel bars or on the back wall above the tub. If you have a shower or a tub and shower combo, select doors with towel bars on the outside - an ideal spot for hanging wet towels to dry.
Toilet area: Wall space above a toilet is a fine place to put a cupboard or a freestanding shelf unit that straddles the toilet tank. A low-profile toilet, one with a tank that rises only slightly above seat-level, frees more wall area for storage. This may be an especially attractive option when the wall behind the toilet contains a window.
